The Renowned Musician Encourages Public Help to Propel Together for Palestine Track to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to propel a cultural melody to the Christmas number one spot. The project aims to provide aid to Gaza's residents while also showcasing Palestinian cultural expression.

A Chance for Unity and an "Surprise Victory"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a moment to show solidarity with Palestinians during the holidays. He noted the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be fantastic if that came to pass, yes,” he said. “I’m not gonna be completely let down if it doesn't manage to, festive releases are a thing unto themselves.”

Resilient Spirit of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the version of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's resilient spirit.

“It occupies a profound significance for countless listeners,” Barghouti explained. “The essence is that I would prefer a dignified death than live a life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we seek to lead a respectful existence that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Recording Origins and Contributing Musicians

The single was laid down after a major charity concert held in September. Initially planned to be captured during the live event, the piece was omitted from the lengthy event due to the event running long.

The diverse array of artists appearing on Lullaby features a range of prominent voices from the industry. All took part in the September show, which reportedly raised a substantial amount for humanitarian aid.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was crafted by a group of talented individuals. The song blends a fusion of the original Arabic with new English lyrics.

The team running the initiative have emphasized that their objective is to generate maximum funds for a charitable pot. These proceeds will be allocated to projects in Palestine through an non-profit partner.

“We don’t have a rigid aim,” a representative commented. “We’ll go for whatever we can get. Obviously, the higher the total, the greater the impact. All proceeds are directed out to the people of Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was described as its extreme devastation, with a vast majority of infrastructure reportedly in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a few million is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think what does make a difference is first of all making this cause better known and demonstrating that another narrative exists.”

The song is scheduled for release on Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the benefit event will be made available for streaming on a popular streaming site from the 19th of December.
