🔗 Share this article The Mighty Nein's Introductory Sequence Chose the Incorrect Popular RPG Show Song This latest animated series, the most recent animated series by the beloved role-playing group, unveiled a new opening credits. It showcases the beloved group of outcasts, outcasts, and criminals kicking ass and taking names, while also hinting at several agonizing personal histories for characters such as the voice actor's wizard Caleb, and Travis Willingham's orc warlock, Fjord. All in all, the intro looks stunning. However, I felt that something was lost in the song choice. The intro uses "Welcome to Wildemount", a truly stellar composition created by artist the talented musician. This piece originating from the official score of the same name, the second release put out by Critical Role Productions LLC's music division their music brand. It's a wonderful sentimental choice, and I suspect that fans of the second campaign will love its inclusion. Personally, The series' intro doesn't quite capture the hype and excitement that was part of the show's live-play sessions. "It's Your Turn", written by singer-songwriter Jason Charles Miller, became an immediate hit in my view when it was first revealed in that year, and it only got better when cast member the performer added lyrics to the tune for the series' animated intro in the later year. Featuring vocals from one actress, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, as well as Riegel himself, the song was catchy and enjoyable. At the time, I hadn't seen the follow-up series at that point, but this was such an earworm that I still saved it on my device. It's a song that excites you before you dive into an episode of fantasy hijinks. The Mighty Nein's opening with "Welcome to Wildemount" fails to hit the right notes for me. It's an impressive piece of music, but based on my understanding of this party, I feel that its mood is a little off. Of course, Critical Role has stated that the animated show will have a few changes and variations from the actual-play campaign. An adjusted mood for its opening seems to be one of them. This animated adventure will be available to watch on Prime Video from November 19. If you can't wait before that, or wish to prepare to learn about the personas of Critical Role's Campaign 2, the original episodes are accessible on Spotify and YouTube.
